In 2014, Erik and Refah Mahmoud began producing some of the earlier 360 content under the brand Dryft Digital, which solidifed his interest for immersive, natural history filmmaking. 360 time-lapse photography, and its technical challenges, remains one of Erik's fervent speciailzations as seen in the National Geographic VR piece Carnivorous Glow Worms.
