David Dugan is CEO and co-founder of Windfall Films, a UK independent with a strong track record in science and natural history documentaries. He has been a final judge at Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. He has produced many science series, including the Emmy-award-winning series Your Inner Fish for PBS in collaboration with Tangled Bank Studios; and DNA, an Emmy award-winning PBS series, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the double helix discovery. He is executive producer of Viva Puerto Rico! for WNET’s Nature; the Batman of Mexico, for The Natural World, The Great British Garden: Life and Death on your Lawn, a 90’ special with Chris Packham for BBC4: and The Hole, a feature documentary about the hole in the ozone layer. Windfall Films has pioneered natural history cross-platform events with shows like Foxes Live: Wild in the City and Easter Eggs Live. David devised and produced the BAFTA-winning series Inside Nature’s Giants that dissects large animals to reveal their evolutionary secrets. He was executive producer of Making North America , A NOVA mini series about the geology of North America with Kirk Johnston. He is about to embark on another major documentary with Kirk: Polar Extremes.
