Bob Poole is an Emmy award-winning cinematographer, on-camera presenter and speaker for National Geographic. His extensive credit list includes documentaries for PBS, BBC and Discovery, and more than 35 projects with National Geographic. He works around the world and his passion for wildlife conservation has taken him to some of the African continent’s most remote locations.
Working in front of the camera, Poole presents shows for National Geographic, PBS and BBC. Currently he is on tour with National Geographic LIVE, speaking in cities across the world.
Poole grew up in Kenya, where his relationship with National Geographic began as a teenager while working on a film about elephants. With a university degree in science, he became a cinematographer for National Geographic starting with a film about his sister, Dr. Joyce Poole, the renowned elephant zoologist.
Poole’s latest film, Man Among Cheetahs, will premiere this December as part of Nat Geo WILD’s Big Cat Week.
