Nat Geo Wild
Filmmaker, Photographer, Series Host
Bertie Gregory is a 24-year-old wildlife filmmaker, photographer and host of Nat Geo WILD's first digital series, wild_life with Bertie Gregory.

Bertie has been completely obsessed with wildlife since a young age. At just 12-years-old, Bertie got ahold of his father's camera and began sneaking off to photograph his local wildlife. From that moment, he was hooked. Over the following years, this obsession earned him the titles of Youth Outdoor Photographer Of The Year, 2020VISION Young Champion and a youth nomination at the Wildscreen Panda Awards,

In 2012, Bertie graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Zoology. The day after graduation, he boarded a plane to begin photo assisting his mentor and renowned National Geographic photographer Steve Winter on a leopard assignment for National Geographic Magazine. Following this baptism of fire, the project developed so that Bertie would shoot a television special, Mission Critical: Leopards at the Door, which premiered this past January on Nat Geo WILD. His latest project with Winter, Jaguar vs. Croc, will premiere this December during Nat Geo WILD's eighth-annual Big Cat Week.

Whilst working for Winter, Bertie was named a National Geographic Young Explorer and named the 2015 Scientific Exploration Society Zenith Explorer for an expedition to track down and film the elusive coastal wolf on the west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada. This three-month adventure on British Columbia coast became wild_life, Bertie's first solo project for National Geographic. A 16 part series that broadcast across National Geographic's social media platforms. Bertie has spent the last year filming for the BBC's next landmark wildlife series.
