Michelle has worked for the US Fish & Wildlife Service since 2005, where she oversees programs to support elephant and rhino populations across sub-Saharan Africa.  Prior to joining USFWS, she spent more than a decade in the field: catching frogs in Kenya and DRC and studying elephants in Kenya, South Africa and Botswana.  She currently focuses on the impact of poaching and wildlife trafficking, conflict between wildlife and people, and long-term planning for protected areas.
